'Songs For Ringgold' Benefit EP Launched on iTunes... In the awful aftermath of the tornados that swept through the Southeast, Christian singer/songwriter Sammy Ward has put together a 5-song EP titled 'Songs For Ringgold', with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross to help relief efforts in Ringgold, Georgia, his hometown. Sammy and other writers and publishers have waved their royalties and proceeds to ensure that the American Red Cross receives as much support as possible from this project.
Raised in Ringgold, GA, Sammy Ward began writing songs while in college in Atlanta. He moved to Nashville after signing his first record deal with a division of EMI Music Group. "I wanted to do something so I could give back to my community there. I'm in Nashville, TN now and I was thinking 'What can I do to help', and I got the support of all my publishers and writers to give all proceeds of this project to the American Red Cross in Chatanooga, TN, which will go straight to those affected in Ringgold, GA."
